With LG and its budget stylus phones gone from the market, users did not have any option to get a phone with a stylus at a reasonable price. Now, TCL has announced that they are releasing a new device at an affordable price, which will have a built-in stylus. The TCL stylus 5G will cost $258, which is standard for a budget stylus phone.
The new Stylus 5G will have a 6.81-inch 1080p LCD and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset. It is also expected to have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This stylus phone will also have a headphone jack and a 4000mAh battery. This battery is way smaller than those on the Motorolla stylus phones, which are an impressive 5000mAh. The Stylus 5G will also have a microSD card slot that will allow you to expand your storage.
When you purchase the phone, it will come with a few pre-downloaded apps centered around the stylus, such as the AI handwriting-to-text app, which is developed alongside Nebo. Other apps include MyScriptCalculator 2, which can decipher written equations, etc. You can use the stylus for other purposes as well.
The rear panel of the Stylus G5 has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera. It also includes a 2-megapixel maco camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. These two cameras are not as useful as the first two but could come in handy in certain cases. The front selfie camera is a 13-megapixel camera.
The phone will be shipped to you with Android 12, and TCL promises that the phone will receive at least one OS version upgrade as well as two years’ worth of security upgrades.
