The rage for high school movies began in the 80s, but nothing can beat the comedy and absurd jokes that America Pie brought to the big screens. It is a movie series that has now turned into a massive franchise; orginally, it is a teen sex comedy, but it became a massive hit with the audience. The series began in 1999 and led to four sequels and five spin-offs over two decades.
The original series has four movies, and then spin-offs account for a total of five, forming nine comedy movies that have profited quite a lot. Even though it is a hit at the box office, the movie has so many dialogues as memes which are a teenage favorite.
There are multiple ways you can watch the movie series; you can either watch the four original movies as a set and ignore the spin-offs completely. Or, you can watch all the spin-offs as a standalone movie since all the stories are not inter-connected. The last option is watching the entire franchise. But you can watch all the American Pie movies in order.
We have put together a mini guide on how you can watch the movies in chronological order.

American Pie Movies in Chronological Order
1. American Pie (1999)
This was the first movie in the series and the beginning of the high school comedies. To understand the original movie’s other parts, you must watch this one first. The movie follows the lives of five high school friends who decide and make a pact to lose their virginity before they all head to college and graduate from their high schools; Stifler, on the other hand, is an exception, and he claims he lost his virginity way before his friends. Eventually, all of them decide to go to prom with their girlfriends at that time to accomplish their plan. But instead of the plan working, it leads to a series of mishappenings and stupid mistakes that make the movie a hit.
The movie has Jim, Ox, Kevin, Finch, Stifler, Jim’s Father, Noah, and Stifler’s mom, including other characters that will become a constant later in the other sequels.
2. American Pie 2 (2001)
This is the second movie in the series and follows the same friends in their summer vacations and going on adventures. Now Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch, and Stifler have been away for college and have not been with their gan for over a year. So for the summer, they decide to get together a beach house they all rent in Michigan. They plan to make the most of their time there and have the party of the season. But all things go down the drain when the group’s plan isn’t executed, and they end up in trouble.
3. American Wedding (2003)
In the third movie, things take a different turn, where Jim and his girlfriend Michelle decide to take a different turn. The couple has been dating since their high school dates and is planning to get married. The story focuses on how Stifler intends to throw his best friend Jim the best bachelor party, besides his antics, of course. Now things turn hysterically when the couple, their family, and friends all gather for the big day.
4. American Pie: Reunion (2012)
The Band Camp is the last movie in the American Reunion series, which brings the boys together for the last time. The story is set a decade later from Michelle and Jim’s wedding. It follows the five friends meeting again at the school reunion, and despite their differences and changes in life, they still have the same chemistry. Even though the boys are at a very different stage of their lives where they are responsible men, the reunion pushes them to relive their days as high schoolers. But things aren’t how they used to be, and the movies take a weird turn.
5. American Pie: Band Camp (2005)
Band Camp is the first spin-off in the series, where the movie focuses on Stifler’s younger brother. Matt is sent to the band camp for the summer because he becomes a riot in his high school. So to make him better and come at peace, Band Camp is where his parents believe will do him good. But who knew Matt would end up meeting his childhood sweetheart, and that’s when things would get even more enjoyable.
6. American Pie: The Naked Mile (2006)
The Naked Mile features another member of Stifler’s family, his cousin Erik. He is another troublemaker who carries the legacy of his infamous older cousin and makes it a mission to lose his virginity in the race where everyone runs naked. The movie is a teen sex comedy with all the comments that you may have to close your ears on.
7. American Pie: Beta House (2007)
This is the return of Erik as a college freshman; the movie introduces Stfuler’s other cousin Dwight who leads the frat house that Erik pledges at. This is when the shenanigans go to the next level so forget what Erik was like in high school because this guy is completely different. Now all this comes down when a group of geeks starts trying to shut down the frat house; the cousins will go out of the way to stop. Even if keeping the fraternity alive is the wildest thing possible, they won’t stop for anyone.
8. American Pie: The Book of Love (2009)
The story behind this movie is about three virgin high schoolers studying at East Great Falls High who get their hands on the sexual manual made by students over forty years ago in the library. Since the manual does not have complete information and advice, these three students find themselves in the most absurd situations trying to get rid of their virginity.
9. American Pie: Girls’ Rule (2020)
The previous movies depicted how crazy boys can get to keep their fun alive and get rid of their virginity, but this movie brings something fresh to the table. It shows a gang of girls in their senior year at the infamous East Great Falls High. These friends get together, and through their girl power, they plan to get whoever and whatever they want before school ends.
