Galaxy Z Flip 5 Leaks - Renders Build Upon Past Leaks

Twitter user SnoopyTech, recently posted a few revealing tweets. One tweet contained a binary code, while another included a QR code. These cryptic methods gave users access to detailed specifications and visual representations (renders) of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 smartphones.

Recently leaked Galaxy Z Flip 5 renders align with previous rumors, providing a glimpse of its design. The renders highlight the device’s expansive cover display, which resembles a folded folder, and showcase the phone in different color options.

According to earlier leaks, the cover display is expected to measure around 3.4 inches. In contrast, the main unfolded display could feature a 6.7-inch dynamic AMOLED screen. As for the camera setup, the Flip 5 might sport a dual camera system with a 12MP primary lens and an ultra-wide lens. The front-facing selfie camera on the internal display is anticipated to have a resolution of 10MP, slightly lower than its predecessor.

A recently surfaced image reveals what seems to be the Z Flip 5 being used in real-world conditions. However, it is partially concealed by a cover. Despite the device’s partially obscured state, the image provides a decent view of the shape and form of the cover display.

Leaked renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 indicate that the design will not deviate significantly from its predecessor, the Z Fold 4 and that the phone will be available in multiple color options. The rear panel still features a minimalistic camera bump housing a triple camera setup.

The Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch dynamic AMOLED cover display and a 7.2-inch dynamic AMOLED internal screen. Contrary to previous expectations, the camera setup may not receive a significant upgrade, with a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. The internal display may house a 10MP selfie camera, while the external one could have a 4MP one.

Rumored dimensions of the Z Fold 5 align with earlier leaks, with a reported size of 154.9mm x 67.1mm x 13.4mm. Samsung has reportedly developed a new waterdrop hinge for the device, aiming for a thinner profile. These dimensions suggest a slightly smaller form factor compared to its predecessor, potentially resulting in a more seamless folding experience.

According to the leaked spec list, the Flip 5 and Fold 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Flip 5 is expected to have a 3,700mAh battery, while the Fold 5 may feature a larger 4,400mAh battery. Unfortunately, neither device will offer dust resistance, despite previous rumors.
