Honor Magic V2 - Teasers Reveal the Design

In the upcoming weeks, Honor, the Chinese phone maker, will join Samsung and OnePlus in revealing its new foldable phone, the Magic V2. The company confirmed that its flagship foldable device will be unveiled on July 12 in Beijing, as announced during the recently concluded MWC Shanghai.

Honor teased some design elements of the Magic V2 on Weibo, providing a glimpse of what to expect. The most notable feature is the curved edge display, similar to last year’s Honor Magic Vs. However, in one of the renders, a different device with rounded corners and a boxy design resembling the iPhone 5 is shown. While details about this particular device are scarce, Honor likely has plans to unveil it alongside the Magic V2.

The anticipation is building as Honor prepares to showcase its contender in the foldable phone market, offering consumers more options in this innovative and rapidly evolving segment.

The recent teaser from Honor has left many details undisclosed, building anticipation for the company’s upcoming launch. However, previous rumors provide some plausible insights into what we can expect from the Honor Magic V2. According to Digital Chat Station, the device will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, offering high-performance capabilities. In terms of battery, a 5,000mAh capacity is rumored, supporting fast charging speeds of up to 66W wired and 50W wireless.

The Magic V2 is expected to feature a 2K LTPO screen with a high refresh rate in the display department. During the MWC event in China, Honor announced the Magic V2 as a device that would set a new standard in foldable smartphone technology. Still, specific details about its unique features were not revealed.

While Honor’s foldable phone launch is highly anticipated, it remains uncertain whether the device will be available outside of China, as previous launches have been limited to the domestic market. However, the coming weeks will see several premium foldable phone releases from Honor, Samsung, and OnePlus, offering consumers a range of options in the foldable smartphone segment.
