Fortnite Players Struggle With Collecting Collab Skins

An annoying problem with certain collaboration skins being limited to a single season has been brought up by some Fortnite players.

Ever since its launch, Fortnite has provided players with various cosmetic accessories to help them represent who they are. The list has multiplied with the release of new seasons. Players can equip more than 1,000 skins in addition to an even greater number of emotes, sprays, and weapon wraps. Through a Battle Pass, players can advance and unlock gear that is only available for that season, or they can purchase these goods with V-bucks in the Item Shop. Noting that these exclusive products are only available for a brief period of time, some gamers are concerned that they might never be able to obtain any collaboration skins.

The frustrations of some Fortnite gamers who can’t get particular skins are being echoed by a Reddit member. Although individual purchases are available for collaborative skins such as Megatron from Transformers, Kylo Ren from Star Wars, and Batman from DC Comics, counterparts from the same properties are still hard to come by.

Due to this circumstance, gamers who were not able to purchase battle passes in the past are unable to access legendary characters. Although this arrangement makes rewards more attractive for players who have been active on a regular basis, it deprives future players and those who have taken a break of these desirable products, even if they are prepared to pay for them.

The Reddit user delves into the different comic book characters that were highlighted in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4, which was devoted to Marvel superheroes. In addition to the previously listed characters, the roster also includes characters from the Marvel and DC universes such as Superman, Deadpool, Aquaman, Prowler, Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Raven, and Dr. Strange.

These characters from different series were available through seasonal battle passes, meaning that players would have to participate in almost every season in order to gain them all.

Given the record-breaking player number during Fortnite Season OG, it’s likely that a sizable segment of the community is eager for these collaborative skins to return. Though it’s unlikely that they’ll be added back to the store separately, Epic Games might decide to use a different strategy by including them in future battle passes or Fortnite bundles. Even with the obvious demand, it’s unclear if Epic Games intends to bring back any of the older Battle Pass skins.
