Apple had a lot to announce at their event, and the star of the show was none other than the brand new iPhone 14 lineup. Apple did not make any notable upgrades for the base model over the previous iPhone 13, but they introduced a Plus model. This phone is a bigger version of the iPhone 14 and has a 6.7-inch display alongside a longer battery life.
Both of these devices have an upgraded back camera, which now has a 12-megapixel sensor. The selfie camera has also been upgraded to a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with autofocus capabilities. The iPhone 14 starts at $799, while the Plus at $899.
The Pro is where Apple made the most significant changes. The notch has now been replaced with a pill-shaped cutout, which houses an under-display Face-ID system and a selfie camera. This is apple’s Dynamic Island, which will also display incoming notifications.
The Pro-line also has the A16 chip, a brighter display, and improved battery life. On the back, there is a 48 mega-pixel with quad-pixel sensors. Another cool feature is the always-on display available only for the Pro and Pro Max models. The prices of these phones start from $999 and $1099, respectively.
Apple also unveiled three new Apple watches, including the Watch Ultra, Watch Series 8, and the Watch SE. The brand new Watch Ultra is aimed at those who play extreme sports as it has a rugged design and is much more resistant to wear and tear.
Watch Series 8 is Apple’s next generation of Watch Series. They have added two new temperature sensors at the back and beneath the display. These sensors will reportedly check your temperature every five seconds and help with fertility tracking.
Apple also brought back their Watch SE with the upgraded S8 chip, making the watch 20 percent faster than the older model.
The long-awaited next generation of AirPods Pro were also revealed at the event. They feature a new H2 chip and support spatial audio. These Airpods also have twice the noise canceling abilities as the previous generation and an increased six hours of listening time on a single charge.
