Budget Redmi 12 - Leaked Renders Show of a Traditional Redmi Series Design

A new leaked render for Xiaomi’s next entry-level device is circulating online. According to WinFuture, who shared the official-looking renders, the Redmi 12 will be priced under €200, which makes it an incredibly appealing phone. This device is rumored to be available in January. The renders show off a very traditional-looking Redmi phone from the front. On the back, the phone has a triple camera setup, where the lens looks to be flushed to be the back of the body.

The renders also show off the matte finish of the phone, which is expected to feature in three different colors, including blue, silver, and black. On the front, the Redmi 12 will come in a 6.79-inch display with a 1080p resolution 6.79-inch LCD panel. The screen will also have a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, making it a snappy device. This upcoming budget phone also uses a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC with promised clock speeds of up to 2Gz.

WinFuture also notes that the devices may only have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. However, users will have the option to expand their storage as the phone supports microSD card expansions up to 1TB. Regarding optics, the phone will rely on a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro/depth camera sensor. On the front, the Redmi 12 will likely have an 8MP camera for selfies. z

The alleged Xiaomi budget phone is expected to have a decent-sized 5000mAh battery capacity that can support up to 18W fast charging. Other expected parameters include an IP53 rating, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) for connectivity, LTE, NFC, and an IR blaster. Xiaomi’s Redmi series is quite popular, given its affordable price. However, the budget phone market is highly competitive, so companies must regularly outdo their competitors to be recognized and appreciated.

The Xiaomi phones are usually limited to specific regions. Yet, they are extremely popular, and the Redmi 12 seems to be on par with its predecessors in price, making it a decent budget option for people looking to buy a new phone.
