Performance

The De ll S2419HGF has a 24-inch TN panel along with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Although the panel has a higher frame rate of 144Hz, it functions best when the reaction time is preset to 8ms. The display generally has a remarkably quick 1ms response time when utilized with a 60Hz refresh rate. AMD FreeSync monitors support G-Sync, allowing you to get the advantages of both technologies. The Asus ROG Swift PG27AQ 27′′ 4K Monitor is indeed a great option if you want 4K resolution.

If 4K is out of your price range, consider the BenQ Zowie XL2411P 24-inch 144Hz gaming monitor, offering an impressive 1080p resolution and a rapid refresh rate.

Design

Design

In terms of design, the Dell S Series monitor sports a skinny silhouette and a space-saving base. Same as the Dell 27-inch LED-lit monitor P2719H. Dell has given the back of the display a stunning recon-Blue metallic finish to match other Dell gaming products. The foundation is easy to put together and has various adjustment possibilities. It offers tilt, pivot, swivel, and height adjustments to help you find a comfortable posture during long gaming sessions. If this is too easy for you, consider the curved Acer Predator X34 34′′ Curved Display.

Another noteworthy Dell display is the Dell Vertical Monitor, which has a 75Hz refresh rate and an HD display. However, it is placed in a vertical format that differs substantially from most displays oriented horizontally.

Connectivity And Audio

The Dell S2419HGF’s connectivity features aren’t excessive, yet you get all you need and a little more. The DisplayPort 1.2 connector is the primary 144Hz input, whereas the two HDMI 1.4 ports are for secondary devices like gaming consoles. There are also three USB 3.0 connectors for any accessories; however, you must attach the type-B slot to the PC to transfer data.

The Dell S2419HGF does not include speakers, although it does provide a 3.5mm audio connection port for headphones.

When considering the price, it’s understandable that Dell omitted built-ins. However, we realize that a few users would like to retain them available for modest audio demands like notifications alerts or music in the background.

Value

Value

Because of its rapid refresh rate of 144Hz plus a full HD resolution screen, the Dell S2419HGF represents outstanding value for money. This display is designed to work with AMD as well as Nvidia graphics cards. The FreeSync technology on the monitor works with Nvidia’s G Sync, making it excellent for gamers.

Additionally, it features a couple of HDMI ports, a single DisplayPort port, one Headphone out, two USB ports, and just one Audio line out. For a little more money, you can purchase a larger and better-resolution display with the Acer Predator XB271HU 27-inch Monitor.

Gaming Efficiency In Comparison to the Dell S2719DGF

Dell gave birth to a pair of gaming monitors on August 28, 2018. While both use TN (twisted nematic) screens for speed, the 27-inch S2719DGF has a greater QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution for the price of $549.99, whereas the 24-inch S2419HGF has a (1920 x 1080) resolution for $319.99. Both will be compatible with FreeSync and have fast refresh rates.

If you want something more affordable or smaller for gaming, Dell’s 24-inch monitor is almost $200 less expensive than its larger sibling, the S2719DGF. The S2419HGF has the same 1ms response time as the S2419HGF, but a lower 144Hz overclock refresh rate. It also supports FreeSync from 40 to 120Hz.

In addition, it has a wider border around the perimeter than the S2719DGF. However, the gaming configurations and preset modes remain, as does the Recon Blue with a hint of the iconic true blue of Dell’s logo.

What We Don’t Like

One of our pet peeves is the lack of an OSD joystick on inexpensive displays like the Dell S2419HGF. The buttons are easily accessible on the right-hand side just below the bottom bezel, making them accessible to the majority of users. The issue is that it is simple to miss-press something unpleasant when you’re gaming in the dark or are still new to the key’s functionality.

Final Verdict

The Dell gaming monitor would be a great addition to your gaming PC. Because of its thin and minimalistic design, AMD FreeSync compatibility, 144Hz refresh rate, and a profusion of connectivity options, the S2419HGF is a fantastic display.

Regrettably, to experience 144Hz, the responsiveness must be decreased to 8ms. It’s still a fantastic full HD display featuring a lightning-fast refresh rate.

The monitor has tear-free visuals and is compatible with AMD FreeSync and Nvidia’s G Sync tech. Combining these features with the 1ms response time results in the best G-Sync displays on the marketplace. It may be the most incredible monitor available that is also suited for regular usage.

If you want to spend less than $200, the Dell S2419HGF is a good budget gaming monitor.
