DLSS Support Expanded to Even More Games

According to a recent release from Nvidia, DLSS 3 compatibility will soon be available for Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Slender: The Arrival, and Naraka: Bladepoint. A proprietary Nvidia technology called DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) uses AI to improve image quality and boost game performance. Up to a 4X increase in frame rates is possible with DLSS 3, which would result in a significant improvement in both performance and visual quality.

DLSS 3 was released a little more than a year ago, greatly boosting performance in a variety of games. Now that DLSS 3.5 has been released by Nvidia for RTX GPUs, performance gains are even more significant, but support is still relatively limited at the moment. DLSS 3 was initially compatible with more than 35 games and programs, but this number has subsequently increased, and Nvidia hopes to keep this list growing with the next upgrades.

Naraka: Bladepoint, Slender: The Arrival, and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will all receive DLSS 3 support in subsequent updates, according to Nvidia. Enabling DLSS increased the FPS for Naraka: Bladepoint by more than twice in a comparison video. With its 10th anniversary update, Slender: The Arrival will get DLSS 3, which should result in an average performance boost of 2.8X at 4K. In addition, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is now DLSS 3 compatible.

Developed by 24 Entertainment, Naraka: Bladepoint is a melee-focused battle royale game that can support up to 60 players. On the other hand, the Slender Man universe’s first-person horror game, Slender: The Arrival, is celebrating its tenth birthday. The last game to support DLSS 3 is Warhammer: Vermintide 2, a first-person combat game set in the Warhammer Fantasy realm. This follows previous support for the launch of Warhammer 40K and extends it until the franchise’s 2018 release.

In addition to the DLSS 2 support for Land of the Vikings when it exits early access, Nvidia also announced the release of AirportSim and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged. This adds to the long list of games that are already DLSS-compatible.

Additionally, DLSS technology will not just be used in PC games. According to rumors, DLSS will be included in the Nintendo Switch’s projected sequel as Nintendo seeks to improve its technical prowess. While the present Nintendo Switch is a commercial success, it lacks the physical power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which has sparked debates regarding the necessity for a technological upgrade in the following generation.
