Dummy Units for the Galaxy S23 Leaked - Familiar Design but a New Camera Unit

With the leak of dummy units, customers may have their first look at the brand-new Galaxy S23 series. Images of these dummy units were posted by SlashLeaks, who revealed what we could expect these new phones to look like. The photos reveal that the new Galaxy S23 series will most likely look just like its predecessors apart from the cameras. Previous leaks have talked about Samsung retaining its design language, and these leaks seem to confirm these speculations.

The leaked units show that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra will retain the large display size of the S22 Ultra, which was 6.8 inches. This makes this phone the largest of the three. The dummies also have an S Pen slot at the bottom right-hand side, which is identical to what was previously seen on the S22 Ultra. This shows that Samsung intends to continue this trend of having an S-pen slot on their largest devices.

These leaks allow consumers a better look at the phone and to note the few design changes Samsung has made up close. In line with previous leaks, the Samsung S23 series has a new camera module. The camera island has been removed, and the cameras now sit separately. Previously, on the Galaxy S22 and S22 models, the island would seamlessly blend into the side of the phone. However, it seems that Samsung wants to make all three phones look similar.

The base Galaxy S23 model is rumored to have a 6.1-inch display, and the larger Plus model will most likely feature a 6.6-inch screen. The overall appearance of these two phones shows that the corners are much more rounded than in the S22 models, making them appear slightly different from the Ultra, which has sharper corners.

The S23 series will most likely be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. This chip will allow the phone to take photos of up to 200MP, which Samsung has reportedly been aiming for. Customers don’t have to wait too long for this phone to release, as Samsung’s Unpacked event will most likely happen in February 2023.
