Electronic Arts has launched a massive PC game deal to coincide with the start of Steam Scream: The Revenge. This sale is likely to be one of the final ones before Steam’s upcoming payment policy goes into effect, changing how some users of the site will be able to make payments.
Originally launched by Valve in time for Halloween of the previous year, the initial Steam Scream sale sought to highlight titles that captured the frightening spirit of this scary month. It includes significant discounts on a wide range of horror-themed games and other spine-tingling titles.
This event’s second installment began today and runs through November 2. In this newly opened deal, Electronic Arts is a prominent player, taking center stage with a significant 40% discount on the critically acclaimed Dead Space reboot, currently available for $35.99. In addition, the trilogy’s second and third volumes are both discounted by 80%. Other spooky games in EA’s Steam Scream: The Revenge lineup are Alice: Madness Returns and Lost in Random, which are now marked down by 85% and 90%, respectively.
All Halloween-themed The Sims 4 expansion packs, such as Paranormal, Vampires, and Werewolves, are included in this just-launched offer. Depending on the particular expansion, these DLC savings can be as much as 30% off. EA has also generously offered a flat 80% price cut on all of its Plants vs. Zombies titles on Steam, which fits in well with the eerie Halloween theme.
Electronic Arts has managed to sneak a few unrelated games into its most recent sale, even though the sale is mostly focused on games that are in line with the Halloween atmosphere. Notably, during the offer, a sizable section of the Need for Speed franchise benefits from reductions of up to 90%. In addition, both of the Star Wars Battlefront games are discounted by 75%, making them available for $14.98 when purchased together.
Immortals of Aveum, which has no connection to Halloween, is one of the recently reduced games; it’s currently 40% off. With discounts ranging from 70% to 75%, the Dragon Age brand, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Sea of Solitude, Spore, and the Burnout Paradise remaster are just a few of the notable titles available during EA’s current sale, along with an 85% discount on the Mirror’s Edge franchise.
