Fall Guy Inspired Sonic Game to be Called Sonic Toys Party

The title of the much-discussed Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off, which is said to be called Sonic Toys Party and was inspired by Fall Guys, was allegedly leaked recently. The leak implies that up to 32 players can participate in the game’s multiplayer mode. This possible spin-off seems to be a calculated strategic move in line with Sega’s stated goal of concentrating on creating Sonic games just for mobile platforms in 2024.

The initial disclosure of this Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off came from MbKKssTBhz5, also known as Midori, a credible leaker renowned for sharing insights into various Sega titles in progress. Midori has been a reliable source, unveiling details about Sega’s ventures into the mobile gaming realm, including intel on a game featuring the comeback of the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2. This latest leak from Midori appears to offer additional details on a previously mentioned title—a speculated Fall Guys-inspired game—shedding light on aspects like its gameplay.

This leak was obtained by Insider Gaming, whose sources provided internal videos of the rumored Sonic mobile game. Codenamed “Project Toys,” the game is expected to go by the final name Sonic Toys Party and be released as a free-to-play title. This is consistent with Midori’s earlier claims from January that the game will resemble Mediatonic’s Fall Guys. The source who shared the gameplay videos with Insider Gaming is anonymous, and they asked the website not to share them publicly.

According to Insider Gaming, the leaked footage allegedly shows a variety of Sonic characters participating in 32-player tournaments. Playable characters on display include Metal Sonic, Sonic, Tails, Shadow, Knuckles, Dr. Eggman, and Amy. Expect Sonic Toys Party to immerse players in a wide range of obstacles, including boss battles, obstacle courses, and a number of goals including finishing the game, collecting the most rings, or emerging as the only survivor.

These details were later confirmed by Midori, who stated that Sonic Toys Party had been in development for at least two years. She also revealed intentions on possible crossover partnerships with other IP, such Persona. Midori’s findings, which highlight the game’s design as a free-to-play live service game with a worldwide following, coincide with Insider Gaming’s results. As per their reports, rings in the game serve as an in-game money that allows players to open chests that hold a variety of goodies like dances, emotes,
