Level Cap Bothers Modern Warfare 3 Players

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s level cap is causing a great deal of frustration among the player base because it keeps players from reaching higher levels as there is no prestige system in place. Even though they ran across the same problem when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released in 2022, many players had assumed that the prestige mode would be available right away in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Resurgent veterans and casual Call of Duty fans alike were captivated by Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer unveiling, which featured iconic maps from the first Modern Warfare 2. Returned weaponry from Modern Warfare 2 from the previous year, new weapons, the vest equipment system, and general gameplay adjustments are all part of the multiplayer experience. The player’s health has been increased from 100 to 150 HP, which is noteworthy and prolongs the average time-to-kill for all weapons. Even with these improvements, devoted gamers who have spent a lot of time playing Modern Warfare 3 are finding the game’s level cap to be a disadvantage.

Call of Duty esports competitor Sam “Octane” Larew tweets his confusion about Modern Warfare 3’s level 55 cap. Many players in the community are equally perplexed and angered by the lack of a prestige system, to the point where some have decided to refund their digital copies. Larew’s comments on Twitter express a common worry among players who are getting close to reaching the level cap in Modern Warfare 3, which is the daily challenge system that grants access to weapons and equipment that can be unlocked. Although these awards are still obtainable, until Sledgehammer Games implements a prestige system, players will not be able to accrue experience points for their total player level.

A lot of fans of Call of Duty are excited for the series to return to its classic roots by including the prestige mode, which would let players advance and reset their levels at higher prestige rankings. It is predicted that the prestige mode will be released in tandem with Modern Warfare 3 Season 1, which is slated to release in early December 2023.

Although a new season of Call of Duty usually brings with it a spike in the game’s player count, it’s unclear how much Modern Warfare 3’s player base will rise this December because of the negative feedback that has already been posted.
