A freshly created MMO game called Loftia which is similar to games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley has successfully raised its whole funding goal on Kickstarter. Surprisingly, the current amount raised is very close to ten times the original pledged amount.
In the world of video games, the “cozy game” subgenre is quickly gaining ground. These beloved games are known for their warm, colorful, and comforting gameplay, which makes them ideal for relaxing or counterbalancing more intensive gaming sessions. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a game that stands out in this genre, allows players to create their own peaceful island paradise with charming animal friends. Another well-known cozy game that lets players grow crops, develop friendships with villagers, and go on many adventures is Stardew Valley.
Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley’s appealing elements are expertly combined in Loftia by Qloud Games. Loftia’s first Kickstarter goal was for $150,000, but it has surprisingly raised nearly $800,000. Only two of the campaign’s Kickstarter stretch goals remain after nearly achieving all of them. Players will be able to sell their goods from individual stalls in Loftia City’s marketplace if they surpass the $900,000 threshold. More sky islands that span the desert, polar, and tropical rainforest realms will be added if you reach a million dollars, enhancing the game’s exciting experience.
A small trailer for this cozy game is available on Qloud Games’ Kickstarter page for anyone who is curious to learn more. A young child is shown in the video being amazed as they approach a future village, where they are greeted by a kind mouse creature who gives a guided tour. The remainder of the film shows the kid helping out the locals, growing plants, and eating with friends. By the end of the trailer, players are shown modifying homes and characters in the style of Animal Crossing and going on many excursions in the style of Stardew Valley.
The more than 800 comments left on the Kickstarter page demonstrate the community’s immense enthusiasm for cozy games. Numerous comments draw attention to how strikingly similar the game’s aesthetic and atmosphere are to those of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. There are also compliments directed at the creators for making Loftia available on the Nintendo Switch. Loftia seems to be a title worth closely following for fans of this genre.
