The Google Unpacked event is just around the corner, but that has not stopped leaks from coming through. The latest round of leaks contains renders of the device that give a look to the customers of exactly how the new Galaxy S23 will look. These leaks come from a German website called WinFuture that posted alleged official renders of the phone alongside possible colors that you may see on the launch fate.
The rumors show that there are slight changes made to the Samsung Galaxy S23 and even the S23 Plus. One of these changes is the camera island. The company used to have a prominent camera island on previous Samsung Galaxy devices to house the phone’s lenses. In the new phone, it is non-existent.
The leaked renders show a smooth flat back with no raised camera island. This allows the phone to look much sleeker and like its Ultra model, as it also has a protrusion only for the camera lenses. The renders also showed off the colors that the new flagship will drop in. The colors seem to be the same as the one previously leaked. These include Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac, Botanic Green, and Phantom Black.
These chosen colors surround the phone’s back and even its side, which is quite similar to the Galaxy S22. The colors are also seen to surround the protruding lens. The leaker speculates that the material on the device’s rear is most likely some type of aluminum. At the same time, the frame is possibly metal with a glass covering.
On the front of the phone, the renders show off a center punch-hole selfie camera. There is also a slight curvature seen on the frame that allows for added in-hand comfort. On the inside, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to feature Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 5 Gen 2 SoC. However, some rumors suggest that the S23 series will utilize a high-frequency variant of this new chip only for the models in the European region.
This new variant is said to reach speeds of 3.36GHz, which is slightly above the regular 3,2GHz. The new chip is also said to provide Wi-Fi 7 and even support 200MP photos.
