New Information About the Motorola ThinkPhone, Images and Specs Leaked

A couple of weeks ago, information about a phone Motorola had been working on leaked online. This phone was dubbed the ThinkPhone owing to its similarities to Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptop series. It seemed as if Motorola would be partnering with its parent company, Lenovo, to release a smartphone. This leak brought with it blurry pictures, which did not reveal much.

However, new pictures have popped up online via SnoopyTech on Twitter, which gives a much clearer view of the phone. Through these images, the audience saw precisely how the two companies planned to create a laptop-inspired phone. The leaks showed that the phone had squared-off edges and rounded corners. It also seems as if the phone will sport a faux carbon-fiber finish. This will match Lenovo’s ThinkPad series, and there will likely be ThinkPhone branding on the back.

To match the ThinkPad’s famous red TrackPoint venter button on their keyboard, the ThinkPhone will also have a distinct red button. This button will most likely be placed at the side of the device and is expected to be customizable, meaning you can have it take screenshots, navigate to another app, and more.

Another exciting feature is that the phone will be able to put up with Windows on Lenovo Thinkpads. This means that you will be able to share files, receive texts and images and even send them to your laptop. By adding this feature, the company has made the device a must-have for those who own a Lenovo ThinkPad.

In terms of specifications, the device will have a punch-hole display and will be powered using a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. It will also include a large 5000mAh battery and 68W fast charging support. The device is expected to ship with Android 13.

The screen is rumored to be a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The threat is expected to house a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. These specs make it a reliable device that will most likely be snappy and long-lasting. The phone’s launch date is yet to be announced, but the promotional images suggest that it will likely launch sooner than later.
