Usually, it is the rear camera of Google phones which receives an upgrade after a few generations, which is why it is not surprising that the Pixel 7 will have the same camera as the Pixel 6. However, instead, Google has managed to make a big change to the selfie camera.
There is evidence that suggests that the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are set to include a big update to their front camera. The new front camera, according to 9to5Google, will be able to record 4K videos. Therefore, this update will be huge for the Pixel 7, which until now has not attracted many people.
Google’s best Android phone at the moment only has an 8MP selfie camera, which is significantly lower in quality, compared to the Pixel 6 Pro, which has an impressive 11.1 MP selfie camera. It is expected that this is the camera that will be used in the new Pixel 7 as well.
The uncovered codes also suggest that the Pixel tablet may only have a single lens on its rear camera. Due to the single lens, a lot of features on the Google Pixel 6, such as 4K recording and slow-motion videos may not be available on the tablet.
This new Pixel tablet is intended for indoor use, and it may also double as a smart home device, which will be perfect use in regards to the features it does have. However, some fancy features on the tablet do not make sense, such as the front-facing camera. If Google were to remove them, the price would be reduced, and it would be more accessible for people.
With these specifications, the Pixel Tablet would be an entry-level device, which won’t debut until 2023.
