The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Finally Has a Launch Date

Despite all the secrecy surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, customers have gotten to know a lot about the phone through various leaks. However, the one thing Samsung could keep undercover was the launch date, which has seemingly been leaked.

This leak comes from a reliable tipster called Ice Universe, who revealed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event is set for February 1st, when the company will be unveiling its new phones. This news is in accordance with Samsung’s Colombian website, which accidentally posted the launch date. Since then, the page has been deleted, but you can find a cached version on the internet.

The teaser image leaked by the website highlights that Samsung will be revealing their best Android phone to date, including a triple camera setup. The cameras are stacked vertically, which Samsung users are pretty familiar with, as the previous models had the same camera setup. This leak also gives credibility to previous leaks.

The teaser also showed that the camera would have two large sensors. These are expected to be the primary and ultra-wide-angle lenses with an optical zoom. If earlier leaks are to be believed, the primary camera will be equipped with a 200MP sensor. Some rumors had already suggested the early February release, which now appears to be true.

Other rumors that have been floating around the internet suggest that the company might altogether ditch the base 128GB storage variant across all models. Instead, the new base model will be a 256GB model. Although this prospect is exciting, it may result in a price hike. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra model is expected to have a base variant with 12GB of RAM. This would make even the base model an extremely powerful phone.

The colorways of the new models have also been revealed. The S23 models are expected to come in dull pink, black, green, and beige colors. These colors are expected to be called Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac, Botanic Green, and Phantom black. With the launch date released, customers don’t have to wait too long. Although almost all the details have been revealed through leaks, only time will tell how many of these were true.
