The key specifications of the Samsung S23 line have started hitting the internet at full speed. Yogesh Brah, known to have the most credible leaks, revealed the specs of the brand-new Samsung Galaxy S23 vanilla model. Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be a significant improvement from the Samsung Galaxy S22 in several departments.
However, the phone is expected to have many of the same specifications. The Samsung Galaxy S23 will reportedly have the same 6.1-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate as the Samsung Galaxy S22. Therefore, it may end up looking very similar to its predecessor.
The cameras on this phone are also expected to remain unchanged. The 50MP primary sensor, 12 MP ultrawide sensor, and the 10MP telephoto lens from the previous phone are expected to carry on. Much like the Samsung Galaxy S22, the front of the phone will have a 10MP selfie camera.
Some earlier rumors of the Galaxy S23 suggested that the dimensions of the new flagship would be similar to its predecessors. However, the rear camera setup is expected to be different. Instead of the usual accented camera layout, Samsung may opt for a vertical alignment. Therefore, it may resemble the Samsung S22 Ultra.
The processor will be the main show of this new phone. The Samsung Galaxy S23 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. This chip is Qualcomm’s best and fastest chip ever.
The battery capacity will also be upgraded as the phone is expected to house a 3,900mAh battery, which is larger than the S22’s 3700mAh battery. The upgraded battery will allow extended use of the phone. Still, the fast charging and wireless capabilities are expected to remain the same. Current Samsung flagship phones support 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
There may also be various storage variants of the phone, and Samsung may offer a 128GB and a 256GB variant. The UI is also expected to significantly improve due to the Samsung One UI 5, which is based on Android 13.
