The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 Could Release in New, Bolder Colors

With the large variety of foldables on the market, companies need to make their phones stand out. Although Samsung seems to be leading the way for foldables with its Flip and Fold lines, it now has some serious competition. To make its foldables more appealing, Samsung has seemingly decided to release its foldables in bolder colors. Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), revealed some information regarding the new colors of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 on Twitter.

Allegedly, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be released in blue, green, yellow, and platinum. There have been speculations regarding new colors for Flip 5. Previously, it was reported that the clamshell foldable would be released in light green, light pink, and beige colors. These colors seemed in line with the previous colors, including the light purple shade. However, only time will tell if the bold colors will suit the already bold design of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Although new colors for the Flip 5 were rumored beforehand, information about the Galaxy Z Fold 5 also began circulating on the internet. According to Young, the book-folding phone may be released in three options; beige, black, and light blue. However, nothing is confirmed, and customers will have to wait until the end of July to see which colors Samsung has picked out for their phones.

Until then, leaks and rumors about the two foldables have not slowed. Recently, full renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 were leaked, which showed the Z Flip 5 to have a large cover display that will give users a lot of room to play with widgets and other customization options. All of this can be done without needing to unfold it. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has also been rumored to have undergone transformations. The phone will now be thinner and lighter as Samsung seems to have introduced a gapless design owing to the new hinge.

Both devices are expected to launch during its next Unpacked Event, which is scheduled to occur later this year. However, the dates are not finalized. Rumors suggest that Samsung is looking to push back the event a few weeks and hold it at the end of July instead of the beginning of August. The expected date as of now is July 26th. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed. This move is expected to help boost the company’s performance going into the third quarter.
