The launch of the new iPhones is mere weeks away as Apple sets to showcase their new range of phones during their event on 7th September. Along with their new phones, many other devices are expected to be released. They include the three new Apple Watches and a refreshed pair of AirPods Pro earbuds.
The main event will be the unveiling of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, it is expected that the Pro versions will overtake the 14 in popularity as it is expected to have many more exciting features.
The new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have an always-on display, a 48-megapixel rear camera with a larger sensor, and a notch-less screen with cutouts for the camera. According to a report from MacRumors, the camera and speaker cutouts will form a long pill shape when the screen is turned on.
Other features include an upgraded A16 processing chip and faster 30W charging. Apple may add two new colors to the lineup, including blue and deep purple. Furthermore, the non-pro version may also have a larger version aptly named the iPhone 14 Max. However, there are indications that for the non-pro versions, Apple may be switching the names from Max to Plus.
For the Apple Watches, Apple is seemingly gearing up to release three new models. These include the Watch Series 8, a new Pro model for athletes, and a refreshed SE. The new Series 8 will reportedly come with a new S8 chip, but a lot of performance upgrade over the S7 and S6 chips is not expected.
The new Apple Watch SE is expected to be the new budget watch of the series and will also come with the S8 chip. The Pro version of the Apple Watch is expected to be much more rugged and will have an almost 2-inch display, which is expected to be more shatter-resistant. It is also rumored to have a strong metal case, which will replace the previous rubberized exterior.
The new Airpods Pro is also expected to come in a fresh design with a potential in-ear wing tip design. Some have also hinted that it may support lossless audio.
