Xiaomi recently announced their brand new 12T series, including the 12T and the 12T Pro. The Pro model is the star of the show with its 200MP camera that features Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor. The Xiaomi 12T model also has multiple standout features, including upgraded cameras and charging speed.
The 12T series is Xiaomi’s second flagship phone series released after they dropped the Mi branding last year following a strategy shift. Both models are massive upgrades from their predecessors in terms of battery and cameras.
Both phones, the 12T and the 12T Pro have nearly identical specs. The difference lies in the camera of the Pro model. The Pro version has a 200MP camera that rivals the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. The standard variant has a 108MP camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL HM6 sensor.
Both phones are capable of recording 8K using an HDR10+ system for video. Apart from the primary shooter, both phones also have an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera has a 20MP camera and is perfect for selfies.
Xiaomi has also managed to fit a 5000mAh battery into both devices, and they are capable of 120W charging using the charger that comes with phones. The company claims the 12T series can go from zero to 100% within 19 minutes.
On the insides, the Pro model uses Qualcomm’s 4nm-based Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and has 12GB of RAM and 156 GB of internal storage. Xiaomi also claims that the phone has a thermal system with a vapor chamber that is 65% larger than its predecessor. Furthermore, the thermal material coverage is also 125% higher.
On the other hand, the standard version uses a 5nm-based MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra SoC. It also has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
